Crop for the photograph, not just the platform.

A useful crop removes the part of a frame that is pulling attention away from the subject. It can also change the pace of a photograph: a square feels settled, 4:5 gives a portrait room to breathe, and a wide frame lets distance and direction matter.

FilmFX keeps the crop non-destructive while you work. Move the frame, resize its handles, compare standard ratios, and cancel without touching the original file. When you export, the crop is rendered again from the source pixels rather than the smaller browser preview.

    Use JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, or HEIF up to 20 MB. The image stays inside your browser.

Questions before you start

Can I make a custom crop instead of using a fixed ratio?+

Yes. Choose Free and drag any edge or corner independently. Fixed ratios remain available when you need an exact square, portrait, landscape, or screen shape.

Does cropping reduce the quality of my original photo?+

FilmFX never changes the source file. The preview is smaller for speed, but an Original-size export is rendered from the full source pixels inside the selected crop.

Can I crop and apply a film filter in the same edit?+

Yes. Apply the crop, return to the filter library, choose a look and intensity, and export once. You do not need to download an intermediate file.

Is this online image cropper private?+

The edit runs locally with browser Canvas and Web Workers. FilmFX does not receive, store, or add a watermark to your photo.
